CALGARY SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Olympia has more than 50 distribution, showroom, and manufacturing facilities occupying overall greater than 4.2 million square feet of warehousing to accommodate the most comprehensive range of products and the largest supply-ready inventories. Olympia Tile is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Representative in the Calgary and surrounding area. We’re looking for an experienced professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training as required.

The ideal candidate will provide the highest level of customer service in their assigned territory. This entails professionally presenting Olympia Tile and the commercial product offering e.g. natural stone, porcelain, ceramic and specialty tiles and products all while maintaining Olympia’s standards, values and teamwork to achieve overall goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly services existing accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing clients to present and promote products.
  • Learn how products work and how to troubleshoot issues with customers.
  • Assist clients with design and product selections when requested to complete their projects for the purpose of generating project specifications.
  • Ensure client displays are current with the latest introductions and discontinued products are removed.
  • Conduct product knowledge information sessions to provide education on product characteristics or new products.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting weekly call reports.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the tile and/or flooring or construction industry preferred.
  • Successful track record in outside sales with value based products and services.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Enthusiastic, creative and customer-focused leader with a demonstrated track record of building excellent long-term customer relationships.
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, independent, quick learner and organized.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Maintain the ability to lift and transport tile samples weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel to out-of-town accounts approximately 3-4 nights monthly.
  • Have a professional appearance.

Compensation:

  • Offering competitive remuneration (base salary + commission + vehicle allowance, gas card and benefits)
